Él. From Darkness to Light at Teatro Leal

Él. From Darkness to Light

On November 21, 2026, the Teatro Leal in San Cristóbal de La Laguna will host a unique contemporary opera titled Él. De las tinieblas a la luz. This performance is inspired by the life and works of Mercedes Pinto, a key figure in Canarian and Latin American culture.

The production transforms Pinto's autobiographical novel Él along with various poetic and testimonial texts into a contemporary operatic experience. The music, composed by Laura Vega, adds an emotional depth to the narrative, making it a must-see for lovers of innovative theatre and opera.

The event begins at 20:00, and tickets are available starting from €10. This is an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in a rich cultural experience that bridges literature and music in a vibrant theatrical setting.

Don’t miss your chance to witness this compelling adaptation that brings to life the struggles and triumphs depicted in Pinto's writing. It's a perfect occasion for those who appreciate the arts and wish to explore the intersections of storytelling through different mediums.
