About The Best Tenerife
Last updated on 21 October 2026
A local's notebook
The Best Tenerife is an independent editorial guide to the island of Tenerife, published in English, Spanish and German. Think of it as the notebook of someone who knows the island: a short list of things worth doing, places worth the drive and events worth planning around, rather than a catalogue of everything.
There is no visible author, on purpose. The brand speaks with one editorial voice, and the recommendations stand on what is on the page: what to expect, how to get there, what to skip and where the information comes from.
What you will find
- Things to do: activities, tours and plans across the island, with the practical details needed to book them.
- Discover Tenerife: beaches, villages, nature and food beyond the resorts.
- Agenda: events, festivals and concerts on Tenerife in the coming weeks, with dates, venues and official ticket links. Only Tenerife; other islands are left out.
- Plan your trip: transport, seasons, budgets and practical tips.
- Blog: itineraries and stories that do not fit a single section.
Every page exists in the three languages. None is a second-class translation.
How the content is produced
Guides are written and maintained editorially, with the official sources of each place as the reference.
The agenda is updated weekly. Candidate events are gathered from trusted Tenerife listings, their facts are checked against the official pages of the organiser and the venue, and only verified items are published. The pages that confirmed each event are listed at the bottom of its page under "Sources". Past events are removed automatically, and anything that cannot be verified is dropped rather than published with a caveat. Even so, organisers change plans: always confirm with them before you travel.
Photographs are stock images from Unsplash, chosen to represent the type of place or event; they are not photographs of the specific event unless stated. Each photo credits its author and links to the original.
What this site is not
- Not an official tourism body, and not affiliated with any public body or organiser.
- Not a booking platform: it sells no tickets or tours and handles no payments.
- Not a review site: there are no user ratings, testimonials or sponsored articles.
How the site is funded
Some activity pages contain links to booking platforms such as Civitatis, GetYourGuide or Viator. We may earn a commission if you book through our links, at no extra cost to you. The disclosure appears next to every booking link. Commissions never decide what is recommended: an activity is listed because it is worth your time, and many recommendations carry no link at all.
